2005 Niepoort LBV

Post by AW77 »

From a half bottle.
D+0h: smells of red currant, D+4h: dark as ink, on the rim purple, smells of raspberry, pepper and a little bit ethereous (although I normally don't like ethereous smells, I really like this one, it's quite fresh and pleasant), half-dry or semi-sweet in the mouth (i.e. not that sweet),tastes a little bit of cherry, after D+4 h and 45 min: smells and tastes of strawberry, has strawberry and a little bit of pepper in the aftertaste, a good finish (10 sec.), good port, 89 P.
The Eleventh Commandment: Thou shalt know thy Port
