1977 Graham

Suspects, mostly old but one new, gathered in the obvious place to do the obvious thing. We are creatures of habit.

G77, bought by new boy MPM, ♱ East Syriac cross, decanted 8am. Lovely red, 40% opaque. Nose of yeast and a motor oil. Something wrong. Taste also suggesting something was wrong, not helped by the passage of time. Bad bottle.

From the same batch as the previous spoiled bottle. Horribly spoiled and undrinkable with a very odd plastic smell dominating everything. Not rated.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
