Ni94. Oh dear. The second palest, with a horrible nose, rather like burnt plastic. Not tasted.

70 % opacity, paler brown, a little cloudy, not much by way of leg. Nose giving very little, but what was there was not promising. Sharp and acidic, really not good, VA.

Went back after 1 hour, confirmed as totally awful, both nose and mouth.

Incidentally, Richard M suggested anyone with cases of Ni94 may want to check them, so perhaps this is not a one-off.

If they are in bond, i wouldn't even bother checking them - just sell...

As i think CMAG previously observed, it is telling that the 94, 85 and 97 are not mentioned in the list of VPs on the Niepoort app / website

24 hour decant. 65-70% dark orange colour. All I smelt was varnish. Very acidic, very bitter. Unpleasant.

Horribly wrecked by VA. Not rated.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
