2011 Sandeman Vau

Post by djewesbury »

This is excellent again. Blackberries and blackcurrants. Big and playful, much kirsch, dry but not as much as some of the real blockbuster 11s. This is a 2011 that will be ready much sooner than many of the others; let us enjoy it.
Tasted at the Essência do Vinho in Port, Feb / Mar 2014.

smells of raspberry, quite sourly in the mouth, quite a lot of acidity, which is quite good, but at the moment this wine is not yet "round", but will be quite good in around 5 years time
