Third wine of the night.
3rd darkest port behind the V94 and the V95.
Dark purple color with no signs of bricking. A very tight wine that needed coaxing on the nose.
I personally at a lost of how to describe the nose besides something sweet and something citrusy?
Good acidity with a good non bitter finish with tannins to back it up. Compared to the Churchill's burnt wood finish, this one had a vanilla/oak like finish. Quite enjoyable.

1994 Croft
TN: Cf94
Croft 1994, 9 hours. As dark (or almost as dark) as the Vesuvios 1994 and 1995, with a big nose. (This was the last in our sequence, and I failed to note of what was the big nose, though I recall the heavy cooked fruits also in the two Vs.) Tastes like it smells (“though less†—RSH). Tannic. ED thought it resembled a Niepoort.
