1994 Churchill Vintage Port

Post by g-man »

Second lightest one of the bunch.

Light clear brown color.

Anise nose with a hint of a woody component. Eric commented that it might smell like a tawny and I agree on that one.

This one really fell apart a few hours in the glass and seems needing to drink up soon.

It had alot of heat with a good amount of acidity, but perhaps a tad too much acidity that overbears anything else. Burnt wood/cedar finish that starts to turn a touch nutty.

Renee's least favorite wine of the night.

82/100

Churchill 1994, 28 hours decanted. Quite translucent, with hints of brown. Good legs; second palest. No nose. To taste quite hot, though “ex that† great length. Later the length had shortened, earthy tones appeared, though was still hot.
