Post by djewesbury »

I was asked to organise a Port tasting by the Northern Ireland Wine & Spirits Institute, and decided that it would be worthwhile to taste some wood-aged categories that are harder to find in Ireland. 20% opacity, yellowy orange-brown ( ). Some alcohol on the nose, with red berries and burnt caramel. Bit thin in the mouth then gradual acidity, treacle and sugar-sweet popcorn.
