2000 Taylor

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Mid red colour with a narrow transparent rim and just a touch of bricking at the edge. Rather closed on the nose, showing just a little red toffee apple. Soft velvet texture, with hints of fruit but big tannins that dominate on the palate. A flash of fruit on the aftertaste and a very enjoyable pepper and fruit finish. This port shows clear potential but needs more time in the cellar. 91/100. Drunk 14-May-14
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
