2007 Sandeman
Deep red and youthful, 100% opaque. Black fruit, subdued and modest, but attractive on the nose. The fruit on the palate is bold, sweet and ripe but dominated by powerful acidity and phenomenally large tannins. There is a strong bitterness to the aftertaste and an interesting finish. This is very bitter and not well balanced - but that is probably just its age. 87/100. Drunk 23-Apr-14.
