1983 Graham

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Mature red colour, 80% opaque. Surprisingly empty on the nose showing only a little sour fruit. But soft and sweet fruit all over the palate, with lots of brown sugar balanced by sharp, sour cherries and gentle tannins. Surprisingly sharp on the palate. A big burst of heat on the aftertaste from the pronounced acidity that gives a clean, fresh finish. 87/100. Drunk 24-Apr-14 at BFT5.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
