2007 Quinta do Noval LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled 2013. Deep red, youthful and opaque. Gentle on the nose with grassy fruit that shows well. Smooth in texture with sweet fruit leading the firm, dry tannins and giving a nice balance. The dry tannins hold firm on the aftertaste and support a huge dry / sour cherry finish. Very impressive, with a nice mouthfeel and presence. A very young LBV which will reward time in the cellar. 90/100. Drunk 24-Apr-14 at BFT5.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
