2011 Quinta do Passadouro

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Inky purple with a medium rim; opaque. Lovely nose full of perfumed fruit; the fruit is soft and perfumed on the palate and has a lovely silky feel to it. The tannins are slow to develop but when they appear they are huge. The finish is of sweet fruit supported by the huge tannins, but the tannins keep a good sense of proportion throughout the immense length. 92-94/100. Drunk 24-Apr-14 at BFT5.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
