2010 Quinta do Passadouro LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottling in 2104, cask sample. A lovely perfume on the nose, very attractive. Lovely palate with up-front sweet purple fruit but with amazing, round but chewy tannins all over the mid-palate. Powerfully tannic on the aftertaste but the tannins are so ripe and rounded that they sit comfortably within the lovely fragrant fruit. This is an impressive LBV that will happily sit in the cellar for a decade or so. 90/100. Drunk 24-Apr-14 at BFT5.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
