2009 Croft LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled 2014. Deep red, intensely coloured with a narrow transparent rim. Violets and blackberries on the nose. An oddly neutral entry with no texture or flavour but an explosion of fruit and soft tannin on the mid-palate. The palate presence gets very big with a delicious floral fruit aftertaste and a big finish. Drink now or soon - this would be a really nice cellar defender full of rich floral fruit. 88/100. Drunk 03-Jun-14.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
