Officially categorised as "Over 40 yar old tawny", according to the back label.

Sourced from Fortnum & Mason, who acquired the majority of the bottles sold at auction in 2012. Honey brown centre with an olive green rim. Restrained on the nose, showing some toast, fig rolls and VA. Soft entry, very silky in its slightly chilled condition. Generous amounts of fruit with grapes, sultanas and masses of golden syrup. This has a great texture and balance which combine to deliver a really lovely mouthfeel. A wonderful long finish of coffee, pink grapefruit and brown sugar. Terrific port. 94/100. Drunk 04-Sep-14. Decanted 2 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
