1964 Pocas Colheita (bottled 2014)

Post by PhilW »

At the request of Glenn E., passing through London on the way to Porto, an evening of port tasting with the theme "Variety is the Spice of Life". With TBH closed for refurbishment, this was held at Davy’s at Woolgate Bar and Brasserie where we were looked after very well.

Bottled 2014.
15% opacity, caramel golden orange-brown. Softer slightly muted nose, marmalade. In the mouth, oranges, lively and mildly acidic, goes on for a long, long, long time with a strange combination of almond nut and honeycomb in the end. Dries out towards the end. Very nice indeed.

brick-red colour, in the nose varnish and behind that marzipan, in the mouth quite a lot of acididty and some marzipan, a finish of good length with marzipan, I prefered this one over the Taylor, it's a really, really good Colheita

No. (I did check the rules on that one!)
