2002 Croft LBV

Post by jdaw1 »

On Wednesday 29th October 2014 some obvious suspects (JDAW, DRT, MPM, THRA, IDJ, BMHR, RLC) gathered to test the Board Room in Davy’s at Plantation Place (Mincing Lane EC3R 7BD, +44 20 7621 9878, streetmap.co.uk, maps.google.co.uk, bing.com).

Recalling that we held a small vertical of Croft at The Bung Hole on Monday 16th January 2012, originally for the purpose of testing the then-new location (planning and arrangements, review of the evening as a whole), this Croft theme was repeated.

Cr02 LBV. Decanted 13:00, and seemingly in good shape.

80% opacity, deep dark red. Nose - young, prunes, jammy, leather. In the mouth, thick, fruity and a tannic finish. Nice stuff I thought.

Cr02 LBV. No note taken, but in less good shape at 19:00. Note to self: pop-and-pour.
