1985 Martinez

Deep red, 80% opaque. Looking to be in early maturity. Pleasant, fruity nose although a little subdued. Robust and vigorous on the palate with generous levels of fruit initially and a nice tannic support. A little lacking in complexity. Very enjoyable fruity finish and good length. A very well made port for easy and pleasant drinking. 87/100. Drunk 27-Sep-14. Decanted 24 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
