1984 Fonseca Guimaraens

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Mature red in colour, 50% opaque. Gentle candied fruit on the nose and a nicely balanced fruit-led entry. Medium weight with soft spicy fruit and very gentle tannins. A lovely lengthy finish of jellied fruit. Rather lovely. 90/100. Drunk 25-Sep-14. Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

FG84. Dark red, 40% opaque. Red cherries; heat; soft. Only mid weight, but lovely.
