Mz97. Dark red. Nose dirty. Actually nose so dirty, like ’85 and ’94, that not tasted.

50% opacity, dark red, bit cloudy. Jammy nose. As with the '94, sweet in the mouth, jam, tea and tannin!

Deep red with a thin rose rim, 90% opaque. Sweet purple plums and caramel on the nose; later this became slightly sharper. Nice balance on entry with good levels of fruit - more than the '94 alongside - and some very pleasing floral tones. Quite delicious on the palate. Soft aftertaste with a very fragrant finish. Promising young port. 92/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
