1997 Croft Roeda

Post by AW77 »

D+0h: not that much deposit in the tea filter I always use, some fine sediment in the bottle, the cork breaks before the last third is extracted, smells very intensively of sweet cherry, D+8h: quite dark, at the rim only a little bit purple red, smells mildly of strawberry and very mildly of eucalyptus, in the mouth quite smooth, not excessively sweet, medium body, in the mouth dark chocolade and acidity, in the aftertaste dark chocolate and acidity, at the end dark chocolate (plus a hint of acdity) lingers on the tongue, good length (30 sec). A nice port, but not an overly complex one. I hope that comes with more maturity, as I have 11 bottles left that I intend to drink over the next 11 years.
