This port was purchased (by Axel) directly from Davy's on the night as an addition to the tasting, and was pop'n'poured to allow comparison of Ch94 with the Mz94.

I clean forgot that we had this. Was it necessary? No, as the 19th glass of the night. Did we finish it? Yes.

Bought from Davy's Exchange at Woolgate. Mature red colour, 60%. Dirty nose, smelling of plastic or resin. Empty entry, with modest fruit and pleasing tannins on the mid-palate. Gentle finish of good length. 87/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
