NV Berry Brothers Crusted 2007

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Sourced from Dow. Deep red, 90% opaque. Balanced nose of rich fruit yet with some meadow elements. Slightly sharp edged entry, lots of fruit but rather spiky. Rounded tannins with lots of flowers in the mix. Light summer fruits on the aftertaste. Great length. A lovely drink if you like young port. 86/100.

The review thread contains a list of all the ports on show at the 2014 Berry Brothers Port Walk.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

I agree with Alex; very nice uncomplicated port that will last.

My notes simply say: already smooth, yet still some hard tanins in the end
