Cork revealed 'Noval 1963'.

Nose of a little varnish. Massive mouth of cherry and a lot of heat. Sorry, that's all I wrote.

UK bottled, but by an unknown bottler. Mature red colour, rose rim. Lovely delicate nose full of fruit with focus and a slight sharpness. Rounded fruit, rich and flavoursome; a lovely perfume over the fruit punctuated by acidity and soft coffee tannins. Long coffee and sweet red licorice finish. This is nice mature port; round, smooth and mature - just perfect for sipping by an open fire. 90/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
