2008 Berry Brothers LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

From Quinta do Noval. A vibrant scarlet with an opaque centre. Very muted on the nose, some fruit but very little else. Flowery palate, with a light red fruit then a wave of tannins that are remarkably powerful yet never come anywhere near overwhelming the fruit. A chewy tannin-driven aftertaste before a long finish of delightful fruit. This is nice port. 85/100.

The review thread contains a list of all the ports on show at the 2014 Berry Brothers Port Walk.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
