2004 Quinta do Noval LBV (unfiltered)

Post by AW77 »

Bottled unfiltered in 2010.
D+0h: quite a lot of deposit in the filter and in the bottle, smells of fruity currant D+7,5h: dark as ink, on the rim slightly purple red, smells of eucalyptus and raspberry, very smooth in the mouth, very full body, in the mouth currant, dark chocolate and acidity, in the aftertaste acidity and dark chocolate, good length (30 sec), the dark chocolate lingers on the tongue after swallowing, still young, but already quite tasty D+8,5h: the dark chocolate is now much more dominant, very good as I really like chocolate flavours in my port, it's also not as sweet anymore, I'm already looking forward to try this LBV again next year
