Opened in an emergency.
Good spicy nose, nice weight with lots of red fruit and some powdery tannin but failing to grab my attention. Lots of sweetness, which is preventing me from seeing it off.
I can see what Owen is talking about.

This just wasn't as good as some of the bottles I have had recently.
There is a small possibility that the North Indian Chilli Chicken eaten a little earlier exerted some influence on my palate.

This has put on colour and weight in the decanter and is now excellent Port.
Certainly better than any 1983 I have tasted and quite possibly better than F85.
Must buy more before the secret gets out.
