???? Fonseca

Unknown Fonseca
On Monday 19th January 2015 we gathered in the Red Room of the Boot and Flogger to drink some Fonseca, including a bottle that had been drawn from an imperial on Saturday 17th (discussion).

F??. Colour described as “green-brown poo”. Palate as “Rubbish acidic.” Seemingly not liked.

Muddy brown and cloudy appearance. Toffee and lime juice on the nose. Sharp and unpleasant on the palate. Smokey and sour with grapefruit and concentrated sours on the palate. Enormously long finish of burnt toast and grapefruit. This appeared to be a tawny of some type but could only be identified from the bottle as being made by Fonseca. 84/100.
