1998 Warre Cavadinha

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Brick red, mature appearance, opaque centre. Fresh nose of redcurrants and cranberry. Smooth, sweet fruit entry, rounded and rich. Dry tannins support the fruit and grip on the teeth while peppercorn and raisins play across the tongue. Spicy finish with sweet candied cherry. Long finish. 88/100. Tasted 24-Feb-15.

How long did you decant this one?

I suspect about 4 hours, but I didn't do the decanting.
