1986 Warre LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Traditional unfiltered LBV, bottled 1990. Bronzed red in colour, mature and attractive. Fruity nose, full of dusty plums and cornflowers. Balanced on the palate, full of mature fruit - plums and almonds. Very gentle tannins supporting a well poised and delicious palate. Fruit-led aftertaste and a very long finish full of flavour and black chocolate. Poised, elegant and delicious - delicious port. 92/100. 24-Apr-15. Decanted 24 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
