1945 Constantino

Post by jdaw1 »

On Saturday 9th May 2015 we had a splendid horizontal of 1945 in The RAF Club, ably arranged by Axel Probst/WorldOfPort.de.

Mature red colour, 50% opaque. Smelly nose, full of bottle stink and boiled cabbage. The bottle stink taints the palate but the finish is pleasant and quite long lasting. 86/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Cn45, for which my entire notes amounted to one word: “foul”.

(THRA left his notes behind, and has given permission to JDAW for them to be posted. Because of the faintness of the pencil, the contrast has been digitally enhanced.)
