1984 Fonseca Guimaraens

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Medium red, mature appearance; 40% opaque. A lovely nose of mature port with sweet and spicy cranberry and redcurrants dominating. There is a delicious balance on the palate, which is big and flavoursome and leads to a fabulous mid-palate that has a really nice balance. Very hot on the aftertaste, with the heat settling slowly and eventually releases a long and fine finish. 88/100. 06-May-15.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
