Olive brown colour with a slightly green rim; 20% opaque. Well developed on the nose, which is full of roasted meat dosed with a streak of pine resin. Smooth and mellifluous entry, gentle and meandering with a delightful poised honey palate balanced by great acidity. Delicious finish, honeyed but with the pine bitterness back. 89/100. May 2015.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
