2002 Croft Roeda

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Red in colour, but with a brick tone. Opaque at the centre and with a wide rim. Some harshness or sourness to the nose with not much fruit showing. Hollow on the entry with dry tannins and hints of baked, sweet fruit but the tannins dominate. Much better on the aftertaste and finish, but this is not a port in a great place at the moment. 83/100. May 2015.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
