RP85 Full and deep in colour (as most the 3rd flight was). Some liquoice notes amongst the fruits. Tasted well on first showing but a later final tasting (with a much overused palate) showed a much shorter and lesser finish. Originally had it as joint wine of the flight/night but would have had it slightly less after the later tasting. 92/91 points

Deep red with a rosy hue; 95% opaque. Smooth and youthful on the nose, rich and full of fruit - very attractive. Smooth on the palate, lots of sweetness but little fruit. Air releases some of the quiet tannins but the fruit only appears reluctantly. A modest palate, disappointing when compared to the nose. 86/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

RP85. Dark, 80% opaque. Nose of sweet fruit. Palate of aniseed, 51 not Pernod Ricard, with great sweetness, size, and length. Good wine.
