1985 Taylor
Thirty years after harvest we held a small horizontal of 1985s.

T85 Not a great shower of a port that has a great reputation when a 'good' bottle is tasted. Possibly too young to judge and maybe in a closeed phase. Bold, fruity, good colour but no X-factor. By no means bad, but it disappointed for me. 89/90 points

Deep red and still quite youthful in appearance; 70% opaque. Young fruit on the nose. Sweet and fruity entry with an interesting dryness - with some vague hints that the dryness might be down to very mild TCA. Fruit driven aftertaste which puts paid to the concern of TCA. Huge fruit focused finish. Still closed down and very similar to the bottles of Taylor 1985 we were drinking a few years ago. 87/100.

T85. Very dark red, 70% opaque. But so corked that even I knew.
