W85 A lovely 85 on this tasting comparison. Showed well against the others with good fruits and balance, but as with most the ports at this Horizontal, it left an underwhelming feeling of very close to special, but not quite there. Still a port I very much enjoyed. 91/92 points

Deep red, in early maturity; dark and intense, 70% opaque. Restrained nose revealing almost nothing. A lovely texture on entry, showing structure with acidity and tannins both adding support to the fruit. Modest body with the fruit arriving very late; some heat on the aftertaste. A good finish. 88/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

W85. Bright red, 50% opaque. Palate starts rich and full, with a very strong bitterness towards the end. But only mid weight.
