O85, decanted 09:30. Dark-ish red, 60% opaque. Palate soft and sweet. Some acidity mid-palate. Plums, good plums. Port to drink with pleasure, and second-best on page after the Harvey.

O85 Pleasant, but very soft. Not much of a finish and almost no alcohol heat at all, but smooth and very drinkable… not anything to write home about. 86 points

Thankfully this was good. Slightly powdery but with some acid to balance it. Heat in the finish, good body though not great length.

Deep red and very youthful with great depth of colour; 80% opaque. Warm, slightly smoky oranges on the nose. A lovely texture on the palate with deep flavours dominated by sweet fruit offset by gentle tannins still showing through. Rich and flavoursome with attractive fruit. The finish is lively and lingering with big, rich and powerful flavours. Great dark chocolate and dried cherry finish. Delicious port. 90/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

70% opacity, red, cloudy. Nose a bit stewed. Lively mouthfeel, sweetness then followed by a little bitterness!
