V10 100% opacity. Too young and too sweet to be objective, possibly a bit closing down a bit.

Bottle 2439. Deep red in colour with a crimson rim. Unintegrated alcohol shows on the blueberry nose, causing a lack of balance. Blueberries on the entry accompanied by massive, mouth puckering tannins. Chewy and fruity aftertaste leads to a lovey perfumed finish. This is a monster of a wine but needs a lot of time to gain its balance. (88 points for current drinking - difficult to tell where this will end up in 25 years.) 88/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

V10. Nose of smoke and leather — unusual for a Vesuvio.
