V13 100% opacity. The finish line of the 23 glass vertical! Much too young to enjoy properly at the end of the night, but still with great fruitness and a wonderful dense, rich jammy finish.

Bottle 8193. Deep red with a purple core and a narrow rim. Little showing on the nose. Generous sour blackcurrants on entry with subtle lavender and generous tannins. Lots of perfume, lots of fruit and a promising structure. This is balanced and elegant but lacks the extra "oomph" to be considered a great port. 87/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
