1972 Graham Single Harvest Tawny

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Light brown in colour with a green hint on the rim; 20% opaque. Strong almond paste on the nose with a touch of VA almost hidden that adds to the complexity. A slight thickness to the texture, balanced and ethereal. At first full of coffee then a searing dose of highly flavoured acidity. A touch dry and acidic on the finish, reminiscent of a sercial madeira. Great lime and grapefruit bitter-sweet finish. 90/100. 24-Feb-16.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
