2013 Quinta do Pego

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Purple and carmine in colour. Similarly to the Churchill Gricha, this youthful port has a slight cheesiness to the nose - a cheesiness which comes through on the entry. Powerful tannins and adequate fruit show reluctantly on the mid-palate. The aftertaste is good and the finish better. 90-92/100. Tasted 02-Mar-16.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
