30% opacity, red-brown, orange-yellow rim. Hints of menthol and tobacco. Lovely syrupy mouthfeel, tingling heat mid to late palate. Muted oranges with a long long aftertaste. Very nice indeed, very true to G70 traditions.

Brick red appearance, 50% opaque. Sweet fruit on the nose, a nose which is well developed and attractive. Smooth entry, full of rich and sweet fruit. The palate has a wonderful complexity with faint hints of tannins giving a slight dustiness to the fruit. Delicious on the finish, fruity and full of flavour. A bottle showing well. 93/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

G70. Bright red, 30% opaque. Palate fuller and sweeter than the D70. Indeed, fabulous mature Port; big and long. Lovely mature VP.
