50 years ago, the 1966 vintage was born. A few of us gathered at The Boot & Flogger to discuss the vintage.
1966 Taylor
Re: 1966 Taylor
30% opacity, rich red. Rich mouthfeel, with tingling heat mid and late palate. Syrupy, red fruits. Great structure. My WOTN, this just felt like it had a bit more backbone than some of the other (wonderful) ports.

Deep brick red colour, 60% opaque. Modest nose, with deep and rich cherry and esteva. Thick in texture on the palate, powerful and intense flavour with the laser acidity focusing the flavours perfectly. Huge levels of fruit and the ghost of tannins, a huge palate. A flash of acidity on the aftertaste before a big, candied fruit finish with a touch of green stem. An amazing port. 96
