50% opacity, dark red, orange rim. Silky entry, then a hot finish. Good fruit and sweetness, dates and prunes.

Full, lovely flavour with some backbone; delicious and my WOTN with the Taylor just a hint behind.
Rated vg/ex (though my marking on all wines that night was perhaps slightly stingy).

Deep red, intense in colour; 80% opaque. Fresh and fragrant nose, lively and spritely, full of fresh redcurrant fruit. Slow to arrive, light in texture. The mid-palate grows and delivers huge levels of fruit with a good tannic backbone. Big aftertaste and a fully flavoured finish. Intense, sweet and long lasting. 93
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

N66. Dark dark red, 50% opaque. Big. Plum fruit. Just so big, and not mature. The only Port at the table that wasn’t fully mature. WOTN.
