1985 Taylor

Post by SCP »

T85 sourced from Tesco in the half-price sale last year.
Decanted 8 hours beforehand, colour reasonable, if a little light for its age. Overall my impression was "stewed". Tasted rather flat, with some soft sweet summer fruits; rather lacking in the expected punch or any wow factor. TTF86 served for comparison was far superior.
Might have been stored in overly warm conditions and not a good omen for my other bottle from Tesco.

Yes sounds like these have been stored next to the boiler in the Tesco warehouse!

Forgot to mention, my companions in drinking the port had previously tasted a good bottle of the T85 (I had not) and were both unimpressed with this one.
