NV Boeira Tawny 20YO

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Boeira also offer a VV tawny with an average age of over 100 years, but this was not available for tasting.

Copper tone in colour, 15% opaque. A lifted nose with attractive fruit and sous bois. Rounded and smooth entry. As with the 10 year old tawny this port is very elegant but with a bit more presence, drier and with a hint of tannin. There is a lovely, mouth-filling aftertaste and a great finish of creme brulee. 89/100. Tasted 04-May-16.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
