1994 Croft

Brick red and still 90% opaque. Smelling of vanilla pods and redcurrant syrup this delivers what can be expected from a mature port, smelling great. Smooth onto the palate with plenty of mature fruit. The tannins are ripe and fine, perfectly matched to the generous fruit. There is a touch of dryness to the aftertaste then a long and sweet candy finish. This port is living up to its youthful promises, but has a way to go yet. 89/100. 04-May-16
