+0: Tasted only a small bit. Clearly dark red as it decanted but virtually black in any quantity. licorice, maybe a little prune, some chocolate in the tail. very fruity and smooth, but actually very much "port flavored."
Will update with a +8 soon. We also have some effectively +0 in a bottle
JoshDrinksPort Port wine should perhaps be added -- A Trollope

The new time of 4pm admits more mischief. If at most two of those in the UK, at 9pm their time, should wish to join us by video Skype, with a glass of vintage Fonseca to hand, they would be most welcome to do so. Advance notice would facilitate placement of computers.
+8.5 I can see where you find peaches, i find a lot of burn and a lot of prune (or at least plum). Maybe even some apricot. Needs a lot of time still to blow off the alcohol. We'll see what we've got tomorrow (should be +25/+1-2 when we taste).

A very tempting offer, but I will likely not be home before 2300, possibly as late as 0000 due to a trip into London to see our pantomime - this year it is a trip to see Wicked at the Apollo Victoria. If I'm not exhausted, I'll drop you a text by SMS.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
Hope you're having fun, chaps. I'm shattered so decided not to join you by Skype, but I'm reading your posts while enjoying a glass of Vesuvio 2006 - the port I helped to tread!
