Wed 29 July 2015, An Emergency in Barlborough

What is one to do if a port chum is in need, other than to take him port? Accordingly, shortly after his missing out on sharing some fine ports at B&F on Monday 27th, Mrs B and I managed meet up with Mr & Mrs T for an emergency offline first dining at the Van Dyk grill and then retiring to Chez T for some after dinner drinks.
I consumed a fine rack of lamb and Mrs B was very impressed by the quality of her Boeuf Bourguignon. I can recommend the Van Dyk grill to any passing the area and needing nourishment (but not their corkage policy of "Niet!!").
Mrs T & B consumed a bottle of Moet & Chandon NV while Messers T & B consumed a modest half of Martinez 1955 (lifecoach please note - DRT insisted I took the remaining half away with me, which I obligingly did after modest protestations). It was a very pleasant evening and the Bs would like to thank the Ts for their hospitality.
A tasting note of the Mz55 will appear in due course.
The tasting note from Mrs B of the Moet & Chandon NV was "Mmmm, my favourite." I do not intend to add this tasting note to the Other Wines forum.
